Frequently asked questions

24 questions the procurement desk receives, covering ordering, quotations, documentation, shipping, handling, verification and the limits of the guidance we can provide.

Our catalogue is supplied to research institutions, analytical laboratories, contract research organisations, universities and registered commercial buyers. We ask for organisation details and the intended research application at enquiry stage so the correct documentation can be prepared.
Standard shipments include a Certificate of Analysis covering identity, purity and method, plus the corresponding batch record reference. HPLC chromatograms and mass spectra are provided on request. Custom synthesis projects receive the release documentation agreed in the quotation.
Lyophilized material is dispatched in sealed vials with desiccant. Ambient, insulated and cold-chain options are all available; the appropriate choice is confirmed with the quotation and recorded on the dispatch note.
Catalog items are typically dispatched within 24–72 hours of confirmed order. Custom synthesis timelines depend on sequence length, modifications and quantity, and are stated on the individual quotation.
Send the catalogue reference or target sequence, required purity, quantity, destination country and intended research application. The procurement desk returns a formal quotation with specification, documentation package, lead time and shipping terms.
Catalog reference materials can be ordered in single units. Bulk input materials and custom synthesis are quoted per project, and pricing scales with quantity and specification.
Bank transfer is standard. For institutional buyers and larger orders, letter of credit and procurement platform transactions can be arranged. Payment terms are stated on the quotation.
Yes. Evaluation quantities of catalog items are available so that identity and handling can be verified internally before a larger supply agreement is put in place.
Shipment destinations are confirmed at quotation stage because import requirements differ by jurisdiction. Buyers are responsible for ensuring that importation of the ordered material is lawful in their country.
Purity is determined by reverse-phase HPLC and reported as area percentage at the specified wavelength. Identity is confirmed by mass spectrometry. The method and column conditions are recorded on the Certificate of Analysis.
A Certificate of Analysis contains the product name and catalogue reference, lot number, appearance, identity result, purity result, test method, specification limits, release date and the name of the releasing analyst.
Institutional buyers frequently require a particular document layout. Provide the required template or field list at quotation stage and the documentation package will be prepared to match.
No. All materials supplied by TopPep are for laboratory research use only. They are not medicines, not supplements, not cosmetics and are not intended for human or veterinary use, nor for diagnostic or household application.
We cannot provide dosing, administration or clinical guidance of any kind. Our technical support covers identity, purity, solubility, storage and handling characteristics for laboratory work.
Lyophilized material should normally be stored desiccated and protected from light, typically at −20 °C for long-term storage. Solutions should be prepared to the laboratory's own validated procedure. Specific guidance is provided on the product documentation.
Yes. Sequence, modifications, purity target, quantity and required documentation are reviewed and returned as a feasibility assessment with a quotation. Confidentiality terms can be agreed before sequence disclosure.
Sequence and project details are treated as confidential. Non-disclosure terms can be agreed before technical discussion, and no customer data or custom sequence is published or reused.
Where a buyer requires independent verification, we can advise on the analytical methods commonly used and supply the corresponding batch records. Third-party testing can be arranged at the buyer's request.
Report the discrepancy with the lot number, the receiving condition and any supporting analytical data. The case is reviewed against the retained batch sample and records, and the resolution is confirmed in writing.
Only contacts listed on our Contact page represent TopPep. If you receive an unsolicited approach using our name, verify the details through the official contact channels before proceeding, and report the incident to us.
Import requirements depend on the material, the quantity and the destination jurisdiction. We can describe what documentation accompanies the shipment, but the buyer should confirm licensing requirements with their own regulatory adviser.
Pricing is quoted against specification, quantity and destination. Buyers with a defined requirement receive a formal written quotation rather than a list price.
Yes. Recurring supply, scheduled releases and framework terms can be agreed for institutional buyers. Provide expected annual volumes and the required documentation standard at enquiry stage.
Safety data and handling information are available on request for any catalogue item, referencing the catalogue number. Handling guidance is written for laboratory personnel working under appropriate institutional controls.
Questions about dosing, administration routes, reconstitution for administration, or any human or veterinary application cannot be answered. Materials are supplied for laboratory research only.
